Site Navigation

Here is a quick guide for navigating the website from the splash page:

At the top of the page (to the right of the site logo, title, and tagline), you will find:

  • a Search option.
  • Links to the Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and YouTube sites.

This element of the web page should always present, regardless of which page you are visiting.

Below this you will find a MENU BAR with links to:

  • Overmonitoring Address Matrix.
  • This Date Aboard the Nostromo.
  • The Nostromo Files blog.

This element of the web page should always present, regardless of which page you are visiting.

Sidebar widgets have been added to the right side of the page:

  • Translate the blog using Google Translate.
  • Search the site.
  • Register for email updates to the site.
  • Follow the site through your WordPress reader.
  • Upcoming events in the TDAN calendar.
  • Milestones.
  • Access to the blog posts, by month.
  • The RSS feed link.
  • Traffic stats.

This element of the web page should always present, regardless of which page you are visiting.

The biggest change in site navigation is the addition of “breadcrumbs”, or a text-based trail showing you where you are in the site.

For example, when you visit the site summary page, this is what you will see:

The breadcrumb navigation feature should make it easier to move around the site.
