Mark Normington’s future of system terminals…

Just when you thought there’d be no more original artwork of those retro-CRTs so prominent in the Alien universe, along comes Mark Normington and this terminal design:

There is so much here to like: the authentic funky design and austere coloring, the cassette tape drive, the dual 3.5-inch floppy drives, a keyboard you can almost hear rattling as you type in that query to Mother (whose circuit-status indicator burns at bright attention!).

Being a child of the 70s, advertisements of this kind bring back memories of the low-key “let the product speak for itself” pitches for computer equipment so common back then.

(And there are some cool little things written into the ad copy.)

Check out this piece and more lived-in art at Mark’s ArtStation gallery.
