The Sundance Institute recently announced that Memory – The Origins of Alien premieres at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival in Utah.

Alexandre O. Philippe’s ALIEN documentary is but one of the record-breaking 14,259 submissions for this year’s festival, which will be held in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort, from January 24 – February 3, 2019.

I also found this brief summary over at imdB.com:

The untold origin story behind Ridley Scott’s Alien – rooted in Greek and Egyptian mythologies, underground comics, the art of Francis Bacon, and the dark visions of Dan O’Bannon and H.R. Giger. A contemplation on the symbiotic collaborative process of movie-making, the power of myth, and our collective unconscious.

Let’s hope we get to see some titles and other art in a press release sometime soon!
