I have enjoyed reading John Kenneth Muir’s science fiction writing since I bought his “Exploring Space: 1999” book in the late 1990s. In the story linked below, he explores another science fiction classic near and dear to my heart…

An early edition of John’s Space: 1999 book.

John published the following article about ALIEN on the eve of the theatrical release of Prometheus  (2012, remember those days?). His words are just as relevant now as they were when he wrote them.

In the article below, he offers five reasons why ALIEN has survived as a classic sci-fi horror movie.

I hope you enjoy John Kenneth Muir’s Reflections on Cult Movies and Classic TV: Before Prometheus: Five Reasons Alien (1979) Endures

My favorite reason is: “Implications unexplored but suggested”.
