Alien is a suspenseful slow-burn between peaks of horrifying action! Like me, Adam tends to limit his interpretations of the story to the film itself, even though James Cameron’s Aliens filled in some intentional narrative gaps with exposition from the mouth of Ripley.
I get a kick out of pondering things like this. Sometimes it can result in amazing connections; other times, it is simply a way to appreciate the movie in a different way.
In this post, Adam takes a look at the passage of time aboard the Nostromo, which to me seems to compress and contract as its horrors unfold…
I really enjoyed this, Adam!
