Ripley, debriefed.

The Inquest scene in Aliens (IMHO) sets the tone for Aliens. We get to see for ourselves how heartless the Company (and the agencies with which is interacts) can be. This scene is also cool because it shows off the personnel files of the Nostromo crew (found in isolated form on the Alien Anthology Blu-ray extras)

I often wonder why Alien’s dystopic future appeals to me. Perhaps it is characters like Ripley that redeem it?

Special thanks to Xenopedia – The Alien vs. Predator Wiki (and its gatekeepers The Cruentus and Hudafuk) for the link to its Alien Anthology page.
