American Movie Classics included ALIEN in its list of movie milestones for the Seventies.

 

 

Contemporary events included: the creation of Miramax Films, the release of Disney’s first PG-rated film (The Black Hole), Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”, and the boom of cable television.
