The Nostromo Artwork of John R. Mullaney.

<INTERFACE 2037 READY FOR INQUIRY>

In the professional world of illustration, John R. Mullaney is known for his consistently high-quality, well-researched artwork.  He has been at it since 1999, a year with a sci-fi resonance of its own.

That Mullaney is a sci-fi fan is obvious from a brief glimpse of his work.   Also a generous man, he has shared samples of his art at his professional website and Facebook page.

When he published his “Nostromo Artwork” album on Facebook, it got a lot of play and rightfully so.  Little, if any, attention has been given that battered old space-tug since all her vehicular successors in the film series are much sexier and appealing. The work John produced is long-awaited and sets the bar high.

The artwork, and many other illustrations, are included in The Weyland-Yutani Report, an in-universe reference volume of all things Alien.  The volume is available in two versions: a Collectors’ edition and trade edition.

Either way you choose to buy the book, the artwork will please fans of the series because it covers so much, so well.

Since this site is focused on the Nostromo, I have posted a link to the gallery for your enjoyment. Click the image to visit.

If you like Mullaney’s work, know that his licensed prints sell out quickly at his website.

And one last thing: it is not about the Nostromo, but it is such compelling entertainment, I included it here: the APC Cutaway : Special Edition, a time lapse film documenting its creation and featuring the music of Last Picture Show.

Enjoy!
